The assembly requires a bit of handy skill, as the sometimes filigree components have to be joined together with controlled force from time to time. If the procedure is too careless or rough, individual parts can be irreparably damaged. Here, as with other model building parts, the following applies: Take a close look at the assembly instructions, less force, more patience and a precise approach.
The 4x4 model drives up to 2 meters with the rubber wind-up motor. After assembly, set the lever positions to either forwards or backwards, put the locking lever in the stop position, open the engine with the key in the spare wheel and then release the locking lever.
The Jeep has front-wheel steering, the hood can be opened and closed and is secured with two clips. The windshield can also be tilted.
Story about the model
This 4x4 vehicle was developed by the American automobile company Willys-Overland Motors during World War II. In 1941, the mass production of this military utility vehicle began, which was used in large quantities by the Allied forces. The Wiilys Jeep went down in history as a reliable and functional 4x4 vehicle. It is considered to be one of the first SUVs to overcome obstacles, dusty and other difficult road and terrain conditions.
