UNIMAT® 1 Basic is specially designed for woodwork. The user of the UNIMAT® 1 Basic box will have a lot of fun creatively designing turned pieces and jigsaw models, where the shaping is done with the free hand.
Children and young people can safely gather their first experiences in woodworking here. The box contains all the parts for the jigsaw, the lathe in several variants, the hand and stationary grinder, and the hand drill.
All machines of the UNIMAT® 1 Basic are childproof. The short stroke of the saw blade ensures that the young carpenter's fingers remain unharmed. The pros are still enthusiastic about the clean, precise cut of the saw.

The functions
Jigsaw
The powerful jigsaw for plywood, solid wood (up to 7 mm), balsa (up to 20 mm), plastics and thin sheet metal. No annoying clamping/unclamping of the saw blade when cutting openings and windows.
Grinding machine
Fixed in place, the rotating sanding disc gives the workpieces the finishing touches or sharpens tools: lathe knives, scissors, carving knives... Also as a hand grinder for hard-to-reach places
Lathe
The smallest lathe in the world allows artistic turning work. With a center distance of 135 mm (extendable) and a diameter of up to 50 mm, this machine achieves amazing things despite child safety. Candlesticks, play figures, ship cannons and much more. can be easily crafted.
Lathe variants
Flying or sideways turning for one-sided clamping of the workpiece on the faceplate.
Filigree turning - Clamping of thin wooden or soft metal rods (up to 6 mm Ø) in the countershaft.
Hand drill
For drills/burins from 1 to 6 mm. Ideal for drilling in hard-to-reach places or for engraving.
