The Light my Bricks 2.0 FX Spectrum is a compact all-in-one effects controller with eight integrated lighting effects, transforming static LED lighting into dynamic and customisable light animations.
The FX Spectrum was developed by Light my Bricks specifically for the LMB 2.0 lighting system. Rather than requiring separate effect boards for different lighting effects, this compact controller combines eight different effect groups within a single component. This makes it possible to create a wide variety of scenes – from fire and pulsing light to emergency vehicles, traffic and science-fiction effects – using one controller.
8 integrated lighting effects:
- Elements: dynamic effects for natural elements such as fire or water
- Emergency: lighting patterns for emergency vehicles, warning and alarm signals
- Gun: short light bursts for muzzle flashes, gunfire and flash effects
- Pulse: smooth rhythmic fading and brightening of the lighting
- Spooky: irregular and atmospheric lighting effects for eerie scenes
- Sequence: sequential lighting patterns and animations
- Traffic: lighting sequences for traffic and signal effects
- Glitter: sparkling and randomly animated lighting effects
Control is handled directly through the integrated rotary and push dial. Rotate the dial to cycle through the eight effect groups, while a built-in LED indicates the current selection. Pressing the dial provides access to additional variations and allows the speed and properties of each effect to be adjusted. For example, within the Elements effect group, a fire effect can be changed into a watery flicker.
Four Astro Ports are available for direct control of lighting components. The FX Spectrum also features two effect-carrying ports, one pass-through port and connections for power input and output. This allows the controller to be flexibly integrated into larger Light my Bricks 2.0 lighting systems.
With compact dimensions of 24 × 24 × 17 mm, the FX Spectrum has a 3x3 stud footprint. It can be integrated directly into compatible constructions or mounted underneath LEGO® plates using the included Tether 3x3.
Developed from over 10 years of experience
Light my Bricks has been developing lighting solutions for LEGO® sets for over 10 years. The experience gained during this time has been incorporated directly into the development of the new LMB 2.0 system. The components were developed by Light my Bricks to make them even smaller, thinner, more robust and easier to integrate into LEGO® models.
