The Stone Heap Stadler FLIRT 3XL brings modern regional transport to your brick-built railway. The prototype is a further development of the well-known FLIRT train family from Swiss manufacturer Stadler Rail and this specific 3XL version was developed for Germany’s Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR). Numerous technically related FLIRT trains operate in Switzerland, but not this particular VRR version. Depending on the operator, Swiss FLIRT trains differ in car length, doors, interior equipment and, in some cases, vehicle construction. The model consists of two driving cars and one intermediate car.
